About Us

TOUR OF DJOLOF was created to promote SÉNÉGAL as a destination for potential visitors from the United States and the rest of the world. Its founder, Babacar Gueye, is a Senegalese migrant living in the United States as well as Sénégal for part of the year. Tour of Djolof aims to serve people that wish to discover the Motherland, Africa. SÉNÉGAL in particular, which is only 8 hours away from New York Kennedy Int'l Airport. Our tours include historical sites such as the House of slaves on Gorèe Island, the African Renaissance Museum, and the Pink Lake, just to name a few. All tours are provided by professional guides along with a narration of the history and ancestry behind these amazing places. We want to share the beauty of Sénégal with the universe especially the Black diaspora. To give them a golden opportunity to not only learn more about their roots but most importantly hear the true story.
